On August 17, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two major highway projects in Delhi: the Dwarka Expressway (Delhi section) and Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II). These projects, with a combined investment of around ₹11,000 crore, aim to improve connectivity and reduce traffic congestion in the National Capital Region (NCR).
The inauguration will take place in Rohini at 12:30 PM, where the Prime Minister is also expected to address the public. The Dwarka Expressway and UER-II are designed to shorten travel times, enhance commuter convenience, and streamline traffic flow across Delhi and its neighboring areas.
The Haryana section (19 km) of the Dwarka Expressway had been inaugurated earlier in March 2024. The completion of these projects marks a significant step in Delhi’s infrastructure development and urban mobility initiatives.
